Great news! I just sold an Unabomber tee! Wheeeeeeeeee!
That makes it my 2nd most popular work. Hmm I wonder why. Guess there is just something about it. Anyway it is such a pleasant surprise logging into my redbubble account and seeing the golden phrase, “You sold a t-shirt of…”
Even though my earnings from this sale is just a paltry sum of US$5.64, it gives me faith that somebody out there appreciates my work and is willing to shell out US$24.94 plus whatever delivery charges.
Thank YOU soooo much!
Like I mentioned in my previous post, I’ve been working on a new design. So here it is!
If you have a keen eye, you would have noticed the words on the pages of the notebook form an image of a man holding his head in his heads. You can’t really see it, but he sure is one damn frustrated man. Here are some details of the design to give you an heads up.
Basically the image is made up of phrases made up by yours truly. Totally original! In order to save you guys the hassle of pouring through the whole image and squinting your poor eyes, here are all the phrases that were used:
Everything will eventually run its course, like how my legs gave up chasing after you and how my shoes got worn and torn like the insides of my heart.
I tried to walk away… But somehow I always wound up right beside you, waiting and wondering.
I guess it’s just a waste of time.
Wished I could stop giving a damn.
You left me feeling stronger, harder. But not better. It never does get better.
We could have it so much better if we could just bring our selves to leave our shells behind.
Take a leap of faith.
Swear to god I’m leaving and this time I’m not turning back…
It’s been awhile and I’m starting to forget your face. I’m getting so close, before I realise that like the ink of my words..
Woooo.. That’s some deep shit man. Hurr. I especially liked the last phrase. That’s why I had them form the eyes of the character. Okay just to round things up, here is how it will ideally look like on a tee:
As usual I had it uploaded on the same site for sale over here. Do check it out and play with the colors.
Toyed with the idea of submitting to Threadless but eventually decided against it. I suppose it wouldn’t be very popular on there and I don’t wanna waste this design and give them the rights knowing that I can’t ever get it printed.
Really enjoyed the process and the end product. Hope you guys did too.
It’s just one of my upcoming design. I had actually planned on incorporating ready made emo lyrics. Somehow I decided to come up with my own original phrases and stuff.
So to get myself into the mood, I’m listening to all the emo stuff. But… I think I need more. Kinda stuck right now.
Any recommendations are welcome.
The tail bites back. A closer look over here. Uploaded on redbubble and for sale in a selection of colors over here. Not too sure which color tee this looks best in. Maybe grey brush strokes isn’t such a great idea…
I’ve always been pretty amused by the silly antics of dogs, especially when they chase their own tails. Of course Jady does that too. And gets extremely excited much to my amusement. I will love to see the expression on her face if her tail fought back. RARR!
Simpang Na Dou’s girlfriend
“Jessica Simpson, looks oh so temptin’
Nick I ain’t never seen an ass like that
Everytime I see that show on MTV my pee pee goes
Doing, doing, doing”
What a lyrical genius.
Doing, doing, doing.
After successfully completing the much lauded (in my dreams) previous design, I took it upon myself to relax, laze around and get fat (swear to god, no more fried chicken for a least a week).
So it’s time to get back on the design horse and giddy up before inertia sets in. I set about doing some research for my next project. A search on google turned up some interesting images:
A pretty hair raising experience getting snarled at by a Shepherd.
Not sure if serious look #258
HAAAA. This is my favourite of the lot. Check out the pug almost pissing itself after being ambushed by that admittedly badass looking dog.
On a totally unrelated note, I noticed another pic on the same page which warmed the cockles of my heart.
A corgi looking so intense, flying through the air like a fat missile. Wheee!
Dogs are awesome.
So this is what I’ve been working on for the past week. Credits to Wee Loon for the idea, Divide by Zero for his/her outstanding Two Turtle Doves font and finally anyone who has given their two cents worth.
The design is pretty self explanatory and I hope you guys can see the humor and message in it. If this pissed anyone off, blame Wee Loon. Email me if you need his address or facebook to send him death/bomb/nuclear/amputation threats.
As always the tee is available for sale on redbubble.com in a selection of colors.
Just reminded me, time to take my bike out for a ride.
Nay. Not really.
I can’t ride a bike to save my life.
