Bali Brouhaha III: Sunsets of Tanah Lot
Tanah Lot has gotta be one of the must see sights of Bali, even with its massive crowd of tourists. The awesome sight of the sun setting right before you, it seems like nothing else really matters at all. That is until the mosquitoes start biting.
#1 Tanah Lot | LC-A+ RL | Fujichrome T64
As Tanah Lot is situated on a offshore rock, we couldn’t explore the temple proper with the tide rising.
#2 Brewing in Progress | Superheadz UWS | Kodak Elitechrome 200
A nice bit of bubbly being brewed.
#3 Calm | LC-A+ RL | Fujichrome T64
Stay calm and… prepare to take cover.
#4 Catch your Wave | Superheadz UWS | Kodak Elitechrome 200
There’s a reason why surfers can be seen hanging around the area. The waves were huge. It may not look like it, but this one (almost every one) made quite a splash.
#5 Slippery When Wet | LC-A+ RL | Fujichrome T64
Take caution as you really wouldn’t wanna spend your holiday nursing a swollen bum.
#6 In Your Eyes | LC-A+ RL | Fujichrome T64
A pretty cool MX shot of the sunset and binbin.
#7 Balong Long | LC-A+ RL | Fujichrome T64
We got away from the crowds gathered along the coastline and made our way to higher ground, discovering another temple known as Pura Batu Balong.
#8 Fin | LC-A+ RL | Fujichrome T64
Managed to squeeze one last shot before the sun sets.
That was pretty much the end of our day tour. Did some groceries shopping. Chillax in the villa. Watched a couple of movies. I could do with something like that right now…
Check back soon for the final installment of the Bali Brouhaha series.
