Light ‘Em Up
Finally back with some long overdue shots. To be specific, night shots with my LCA+ RL on the Lomo Xpro Chrome 100.
The location was quite a well kept secret. I think? But I’m gonna share it with you guys anyway cos that’s just the way I roll.
At 5 bucks a pop, you can enter Universal Studios Singapore on either Friday or Saturday for an electrifying fireworks display at 9pm. If I remembered correctly, the tickets go on sale from 6 or 6.30pm onwards at the counters located outside the entrance.
It’s definitely a far cry to USS in the day, with the cool night breeze and lit up attractions. Not to mention the thin crowds (that is until the fireworks show) that made USS so much more enjoyable to explore.
#1 Follow the Light
Wished I could say we took this on our way in, but I actually took this on our way out along Sentosa Boardwalk. Nice ambience for a chillout night.
#2 Found a Fountain
A nice lil fountain for us to kick back and rest our legs after the walk in.
#3 Dum Dum Dum!
The menacing ride exudes a different atmosphere at night. Sort of inviting, no?
#4 Calm Before The (Fire)Storm
Looking nice and dandy for a moment. Before you know it….
Ok, it was more like “pew pew pew”. And there were a few announcements over the PA system to pre-empt the crowd before the fireworks display commenced.
#6 Fizzle and Pop
Kinda tricky to capture fireworks in their full glory so I basically just spammed a few shots and hope for the best. Well, I guess this is one of them fail shots.
#7 The Castle Is On Fire
We don’t need no water cos it’s just a illusion.
#8 Light ‘Em Up
This I like. Would have been more interesting if did a double exposure.
Oh just a small tip before I sign off. If you’re lazy like me and refuse to lug along or invest in a tripod, then keep your aim steady by propping your camera on a steady surface for your night shots. Take aim, hold your breath and shoot!
