If the title didn’t make it clear enough for you, this post is all about football and Manchester United. So if you’re a hater, I would advise you to stay away.

If you have been an avid follower, you might have read about how my love affair with United started. As a kid, I have always dreamed about visiting Old Trafford and even stepping onto the pitch for the Red Devils.

I have finally realised the former! As for the latter, let’s just say I’ll be making myself available once Rooney is off.

Due to a series of unfortunate events (Nani’s red card -> lost to Real Madrid -> match we were attending rescheduled from Saturday to Monday), we had to make the day trip from London to Manchester for the stadium tour on Friday.

Let’s not make this all about me. Binbin is a fan too. Or so she claims.

The Munich Clock in memory of the victims of the Munich air disaster on 6th February 1958. United remarkably recovered from the devastating tragedy to win their first ever European Cup 10 years later. Led by the legendary Sir Matt Busby who nearly succumbed to the severe injuries he sustained in the crash.

We headed indoors for a tour of the museum, checking out the exhibits detailing the club history, players and fans.

Grey Man Utd jersey#6 Hot Seller | Note 2
The infamous jersey which was apparently a hot seller among fans as it “looked good with jeans”. It probably went downhill after it was unceremoniously dumped by Sir Alex Ferguson who ordered his team to change out of the kit at halftime while trailing 3-0 to Southampton.

“The players couldn’t pick each other out. They said it was difficult to see their team-mates at distance when they lifted their heads.” 😳

Eric Cantona#7 Hero | Note 2
Remember the puffed up chest, popped up collar and that Nike ad that had most of us at school going “Au Revoir” while lining up a shot.

A letter paying tribute to Sir Matt Busby after his demise in 1994. From a Leeds (one of United’s fierce rivals) fan no less.

Not sure if I’ll be shaking with happiness or nervousness if I’m sat there listening to Sir Alex giving his team talk.

Home of the United faithful.

Capping off our day at the Theatre of Dreams with a selfie (hey ho, it’s an official word now).
