#1 Old is Gold | LC-A+ RL
I’m no expert in architecture, but the look of the estate somehow reminds me of the public housing in communist countries. Tried sourcing the net for the inspiration behind its design and instead stumbled upon a gem of a blog, written about all the nostalgic stuffs of Singapore: Remember Singapore. Definitely a great read for those interested in knowing more about the olden days of Singapore.
I never really know what I’ll get with night shots, especially when I can’t be arsed to use a tripod. To me, the spirit of Lomography is essentially about spontaneity, so I don’t get the point of lugging a tripod and setting it up meticulously for a shot. Or I could just be finding an excuse for being lazy.
Anyway here are more of my spontaneous night shots with bonus blur.

We didn’t start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world’s been turning.
I pretty much can’t bowl to save my life and have absolutely no business being here at the bowling alley. But it was a company event and me being the coordinator, couldn’t possibly squirm out of it.
Come to think of it, it ain’t that big a deal. Just roll a few balls, hand out high fives and do a whole load of waiting. Wouldn’t hurt if I add a dash of photo taking into that routine. And that’s just what I did.
#1 Slippery Six
Velcro-ed up and all ready to conquer the lanes.
A wise man once said, “There’s a time and a place for everything, and it’s called college.”
For me, that place was University. I’m not saying I partied a hell load, turn up drunk for classes or experimented with drugs. Nothing that dramatic.
Just good old independent living, doing your own laundry, cooking your own meals (if I’m in the mood), staying up all night stalking Facebook profiles, etc. And no, national service doesn’t count because it stinks and you have no freedom whatsoever.
with my favourite allies… (10 bonus points for those who know which song I’m referencing without googling)
Well sort of, except instead of driving our own vehicle we relied on buses and taxis. Which means we spent a whole chunk of our trip sleeping in awkward positions, waking up to pins and needles and holding our pee in. Other than that, the getaway was pretty much awesome.
For starters, we overslept, almost missed the bus and had our fair share of childish giggles.
Finally reached Genting and gambled for a couple of hours. Was my 1st ever attempt at the tables and I can conclude there is no such thing as beginner’s luck. At least for me.

Is it just me or does that color scheme screams tacky? Fine, I’m just being bitter. Read More…
